We went to the Temple today that was so AWESOME!
This last week was pretty crazy! We talked to this guy named Isidro whos wife was recently baptized. Isidro told us that he wants to change his family to be better but knows he needs to change first. He told us that he can't be baptized. We were trying to figure out why? He said being baptized would be to good for me, but I don't deserve something so good in my life. I have done bad things in this life and I cant be baptized because of it. It was really saddening to see someone who thought they Believed in Christ but didn't BELIEVE Christ. He did not understand that we have a Savior for this reason! He didn't know that he doesn't have to feel the pains of what he has done in the past anymore. Jesus Christ sacrifice helps us be free from all our burdens and sins if we come to him.
Talking with Isidro that night really answered one of my prayers of why am I in Mattawa. I truly feel that I am here for him and I can't wait to talk with him more!! I hope everyone has an amazing week. Do everything you can to think of Jesus Christ through your day. He didn't just suffer for our sins but for everything else in our lives that feel heavy or hard. The only way he can take that from us is through the atonement, if we take it to him!
I am so sorry I don't have a lot of time to write today. My PDay is short since we went to the temple.
I want you to know how much I love you! People here are having really hard times with kids and drugs here. People freak out about having to be parents. I just want to thank you for always being so involved in our lives. I know you guys spent a lot of time being at every little thing I did and always having so much family time. I truly know thats how you get kids out of trouble by always being there. I see the difference it makes. Thank you so much I love you!
Nice family photo of the annual red valentine dinner. I like how you put my picture on my seat haha. Just remember everyone that is still my seat and if you sit in it the consequences are still the same when I get back, haha.
Love you all so much!
Love,
Elder Woodward
