Getting supplies ready for new housing to open up 12 new areas in mission and 26 new missionaries
Missionary Leadership Training
Service in Yakima on a WINDY day
Hello Everyone!
This has been a really busy crazy week getting ready for the 26 new missionaries arriving this week. We are opening 12 new areas in our mission. 40% of our mission is spanish speaking. The office missionaries and members have been building bunk beds for the additional missionaries arriving. There is a lot of missionary work to be done here. I am looking forward to helping these new missionaries with mission life because of the impact my zone leaders had on me when I was arriving at my first area over a year ago.
I told you about a family that we prayed about last week and what a miracle it was how we found them!. We went and visited them this week! Rogelio and Sonya just moved from California almost a year ago. We started talking to them and Sonya has family members who are members of the church. They saw the unity of the church and their family when her cousins husband died and how the church was so close to her. Rogelio and Sonya have 3 young kids and want whats best for them. As we shared how this message blesses and helps families overcome difficulties they said they wanted to read the Book of Mormon and come to church. Sonya shared her experience of why she opened the door the first time at 8:45 at night when we stopped by. She said she opened the door and knew immediatiley we were messengers of God and she needed to talk to us. I love this opportunity to share this message of Jesus Christ. Being able to be an instrument in the hands of the Lord is such a blessing!
Today has been crazy with so much stuff to do to get ready for the new arriving missionaries so I have no time today to email. I love you all soooo much!!!!
Love,
Elder Woodward
